Work package 3

The family’s digital toolbox

The purpose of work package 3 is to develop a digital platform to support treatment and psychoeducation to children, young people, and their families as well as strengthen the intersectoral communication.

A substantial amount of material on psychoeducation can be found online, but it is spread across different websites, and it can be difficult for families to evaluate the quality of the material they find.

Additionally, there do not currently exist good digital tools to facilitate communication between professionals across municipalities, general practices, regional Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, and families. Therefore, the parents will often feel that they are to act as secretaries for the public system and must pass on information to all the different actors involved in helping their child.

Consequently, there is a need for the development, testing, and evaluation of a digital toolbox for families to support intersectoral communication and collaboration, monitoring of treatment, and the delivery of treatment, including psychoeducation.

The development of the digital platform will happen in close collaboration with children, adolescents, and parents, along with professionals from the municipality, general practice, region, companies, and researchers.

The goal is, that the digital platform can act as the single digital gateway for children and young people with treatment-requiring mental health problems and mental disorders. It will strengthen access to timely and evidence-based help.
The digital platform will be incorporated with the national eHealth portal (sundhed.dk).
